John Mellencamp - “Jack and Diane” (1982)
His most famous song, with that immediately recognizable guitar riff, from back when he was still known as John “Cougar” Mellencamp. In my opinion he should be recognized as one of the American storytellers of the 80s, as long with Springsteen and Petty. Still lives in Bloomington, Indiana, where he goes around grocery shopping, takes part to local events and raises his family with ex-supermodel Elaine Irwin.
