Grace Jones - “I’m Not Perfect (But I’m Perfect For You)”(1986)
Grace Jones & Keith Haring were definitely a match made in heaven. This song and video reference to race, class and re-defining standards of beauty in our world. A message even more relevant today considering the ‘photoshopping/hairbrushing an already perfect woman’ habit.
For the video Keith painted Grace body, as well as a huge piece of fabric she later dons as a skirt/tent. And there’s a cameo from Andy Warhol too.
