Crowded House - “Better Be Home Soon” (1988)
Some say that Neil Finn is New Zealand’s Paul McCartney. Maybe that’s an exaggeration, but surely in the late eighties/early nineties, Crowded House produced very beautiful, slightly beatlesque songs. This is one of them, my favourite. Neil’s emotional voice sounds heavy with late night resolutions and tears. A simple and nice video complements the mood.
