Psychedelic Furs - “Heaven” (1984)
The mother of all the “Singing In The Rain” videoclips. Probably the first one. Cool.
I never quite understood why the Furs never got big, with their post punk newwavish sound and upbeat songs, and of course Richard Butler’s uncanny resemblance to Bowie didn’t hurt either. John Hughes was a fan though, and he wrote the script for “Pretty in Pink” basing the story on their 1981 single with the same name. But somehow I don’t think the group ever saw the movie.
