Aside from lush rhythms and glossy music production, you got fancy clothes, dream-like ambiance, distant-gaze ladies, English legends and fairytales, melancholy moods, castles and all things medieval, even falconry.
In one word, escapism. From gloomy Thatcherism or from punk music? You say it.
